"Over the Block" offers you a structured and targeted training plan that allows you to use your time effectively for your athletic training and thus improve your performance on the handball field. In the FB Athletic app you will find the complete "Over the Block" program with detailed training and explanatory videos that you can easily complete yourself in any weight room or gym. The training weeks and days are designed so that you can integrate the program seamlessly into your everyday club life as an athlete without overexerting yourself or increasing your susceptibility to injury. This way you will be in top shape on match day too!
In addition, the FB Athletic app offers free guides on sleep, nutrition and regeneration. You can also carry out your own performance diagnostics and track your athletic progress. With "Over the Block" you are not only investing in a training program, but in your holistic athletic development.

What is the goal of Over the Block?
The main goal of our training program is to improve the athletic performance of handball players by providing targeted exercises and training plans that are specifically tailored to the demands and movements of handball. In "Over the Block" special focus is on your acceleration, your jumping power and your general handball-specific athleticism.
How is the program structured?
"Over the Block" includes training plans for almost six months. The units from Monday to Friday are shown to you every week in the FB Athletic app. There are four main phases in total, which are divided into seven chapters. The chapters last two to four weeks. Each chapter contains a new training plan that progressively increases the intensity. Most weeks include two strength units, one unit with a biomechanical focus and two units for health promotion and injury prevention.
How and where can I buy Over the Block?
After you have downloaded the FB Athletic APP from your APP Store, you can activate the program with a simple click on the Over the Block banner under the "Programs" tab via in-app purchase. Immediately after purchase, all content is available to you without restrictions.
How much does the 6-month training plan cost?
After much deliberation, we decided on the price of €139.99. When you compare the quality, duration and availability of this program, FB Athletic is significantly lower than other market providers.
Who is the app and plan suitable for?
The program is generally suitable for handball players from the age of 14 and can then be used successfully in any age group. However, younger athletes can also use the program if the coach considers the athletes individually suitable for strength training.
If your child is unsure, there is always the possibility for a personal conversation and advice with Felix.
The information videos also address individual characteristics for each phase so that possible adjustments can be made to suit the performance level.
How do you deal with an illness or injury?
In the case of an acute injury to the lower extremities, we recommend professional support from rehabilitation trainers. Depending on medical advice, the injury phase during an injury to the upper extremities can be used specifically to work on your own resistance to injury.
If you are ill for a period of time during the 6 months, you should go back 2 weeks from your last training level and resume the training of the program from there.
What equipment do you need?
To get the most out of "Over the Block" you need access to your club's weight room or a conventional gym. There should also be enough space for jumping exercises and it is advantageous if there are different surfaces of different hardness (grass, hall).

However, we also provide alternatives for many exercises. If you are unable to perform an exercise due to a lack of materials and need an alternative, please feel free to contact us.
Can the app also be used offline?
It is currently not possible to download the exercise videos and content to use them offline. Ideally, you are connected to WiFi at the training location or have a sufficiently large data volume available. However, you can also watch the exercise videos at home and then just enter your values to avoid high data consumption.
We are already working on the download function and plan to make it available at the end of July 2024.
How can you integrate upper body training into your daily routine?
"Over the Block" was specially designed so that you can supplement your upper body athletic training on the Functionality, Core and Recovery days (two each per week). We are already working on an extension of an upper body program.
What happens if you want to delete your account or forget your password?
In the app, under >Settings>Delete Account, you will find the direct option to delete your account and all data.
In the login area you have the option to easily reset your password using the email address you provided.
Can you use your account with multiple users?
No, only one person can enter their data and use the performance diagnostics.
Account sharing is prohibited and will be prosecuted.
How can I delete my account without logging in?
If you want to delete your account without logging into the app, you can simply send us an email via the contact form or to info@fbathletic.de and we will delete your account manually.
Important instructions
Since the app does not currently have an offline function, data consumption is currently very high during active use. We recommend a WiFi connection.
It is also important to note that all content is created to the best of our knowledge and belief. However, this app is no substitute for detailed, individual medical advice.
