athletic career

"At 15, I went to boarding school in Kiel"
After I had already learned a lot in the C youth team at the MT Melsungen junior performance center, the path of competitive handball led me to Kiel at the age of 15. There I lived in the boarding school and played up to the A youth national league, until my path led me to a coaching career. Even in Melsungen I was very interested in human performance, so I was taught the first basics by Dr. Florian Sölter. In Kiel it was mainly Dr. Rasmussen and Daniel Dettlaf who influenced me as my own athletic trainer. During my time as an active competitive athlete, I was already actively involved in all kinds of topics that could make me even better in addition to handball training. I learned a lot about nutrition, sleep and regeneration, but at the same time I also questioned the training methods in the weight room and constantly tried to learn as much as possible myself. Even though my own career as an athlete didn't work out, I was able to take numerous attributes with me from that time that help me today to be ambitious, determined and constant learners and to understand and develop my athletes in the best possible way.
